Working Principle of the Radar Level Meter

The radar level meter emits C‑band microwave pulses that travel at the speed of light and reach the surface of the measured medium. Part of the energy is reflected back and received by SoltaScan. The time interval between transmitted and received pulses is proportional to the distance from the antenna to the medium surface, enabling accurate distance and level calculation.

Our series includes SLDL5215 rod type and SLDL5216 horn type radar level meter models.

Installation Guidelines for the Radar Level Meter

•Frequency: 6.3 GHz

• Installation position: on the container or symmetry axis

• Keep a safe distance between the radar level meter and the container wall

• Low‑frequency radar: at least 500 mm away from the container wall
