The SLDL5523 coaxial type guided wave radar level meter is a high‑accuracy TDR radar transmitter specially designed for liquids, especially low dielectric constant, highly turbulent, and steam‑rich media. It uses a coaxial tube probe to emit and receive high‑frequency microwave pulses, ensuring stable measurement even in complex process environments.
The SLDL5523 coaxial type guided wave radar level meter operates based on the time‑domain reflectometry (TDR) principle.
The probe emits high‑frequency microwave pulses. When the pulses encounter the measured medium, a sudden change in dielectric constant causes reflection. The time difference between transmitted and reflected pulses is proportional to the distance to the medium surface.
•D = C × T / 2 (C = speed of light)
• Level L = LN – D
• LN: probe length;
D: distance;
L: level
By setting empty tank height (zero point) and full tank height (full scale), the SLDL5523 coaxial type guided wave radar level meter automatically adapts to the measurement environment and outputs a corresponding 4–20mA signal.

1.The SLDL5523 coaxial type guided wave radar level meter supports software‑based interference echo suppression for ideal measurement.
2. Bypass tubes or wave tubes are available for liquids with viscosity ≤500 cst to avoid interference.
Suitable for media with dielectric constant ≥1.3 and viscosity ≤500 cst with low adhesion.
Installing the SLDL5523 coaxial type guided wave radar level meter in a wave tube provides:
• Excellent reliability and high precision
• Stable measurement regardless of conductivity
• No influence from internal obstacles or short nozzles
Use rod or cable probes with PTFE/PFA sheath for corrosive media.
• Rod probe up to 6 m; 4 mm cable probe for ranges over 6 m
• Keep probe ≥300 mm from tank wall
• Keep probe bottom ≥30 mm from tank bottom
• Use wave tubes if obstacles are near the probe
